Tote Bag Teaching offers elementary tutoring and homeschool support in the Seattle area. Tutoring services are customized:  I have used 'chopped up sentences' and glitter glue to help four- and five-year-old learners take those first playful steps toward literacy.  I also enjoy helping middle school students succeed in challenging subjects like math, essay writing, and content-area reading.

Tutoring is based on Washington State standards  and on the child's own needs and learning style.  I enjoy using a variety of learning materials -- my 'tote bag of tricks' -- to foster learning as well as confidence.
